• Registrar keys stay in memory. The connect form used to keep a copy of what you were typing in browser storage until the save went through. It doesn't anymore. Your keys go straight to the server, and the form clears the moment you close it.
• Scans only follow public domains. Names that point at internal addresses, raw IP addresses, or odd ports are turned away before the scanner sends a request, and a redirect off to a private address is refused instead of followed.

• Every delete is recorded. The activity feed now shows a Deleted entry with the domain name, the org it lived in, the exact time, and who pulled the trigger. Expand the row for the full snapshot: registrar, status, expiration date, renewal price, tags, and how the domain got there.
• The record outlives the domain. Removing a domain wipes its own history, so deletion events live in the org audit trail instead. They stay put.
• New Deleted filter. Filter the feed down to deletions, or export them with the rest of your activity CSV, now with an Organization column.
• Owners and admins see it. Deletion entries follow the same visibility as the rest of your audit trail.

• New Delete action on the domain page. Added a name to the wrong org? Remove it. Type the domain name to confirm, and the record goes: scan results, WHOIS and SSL details, DNS entries, notes, prices, and its activity history.
• Copies in your other orgs stay put. Deleting here only clears this org's record.
• Owners only. If you're an admin or editor, the app tells you to ask the org owner instead of silently doing nothing.

• Scan fixes the status, not just the date. A domain could hold the right renewal date and still sit in the Expired pile because an old sync stamped it that way. Every scan now settles the status from the freshest date it can find.
• Renewals stick. When the registry hands back both the old expiry and the new one, we take the new one.
• Redemption and pending transfer are read straight from the registry instead of being guessed from a date.
• A failed registry lookup says so. No more silent scan that changes nothing and looks fine.
• The bulk "Recheck expired" button is gone. If you have hundreds of names you let lapse on purpose, you should not have to spend scans on them. Scan the ones you care about.
• GoDaddy duplicates no longer win. When GoDaddy listed a name twice, an old lapsed record plus the live one, the stale record could overwrite your renewal. We keep the newest record per name now.

• Track the same domain in more than one org, safely. If one org syncs a domain from a registrar, the other copies of that name pick up the same renewal date, status, auto-renew setting, and renewal price.
• Your notes stay yours. Notes, tags, purchase price, and valuation stay separate in each org. Only the registrar facts travel.
• Domains with no connection still stay current. A nightly pass refreshes dates from public records for domains that aren't synced anywhere.
• You can see where a date came from. The domain page now says whether the expiry came from a registrar, a mirrored copy, public records, or your own typing, plus when it last changed.
• A note lists the other orgs tracking the name and shows which copy is the synced one.

• Renewed domains leave the Expired list. If the expiry date on a domain is in the future, it sits in Active. No more renewed domains stuck under Expired.
• Domains that lapsed stop hiding in Active. A manually added domain whose date has passed now shows as Expired, even if it has never been synced to a registrar.
• Scans keep status honest. When a scan finds a new expiry date, it also corrects the status and logs the change on the domain.
• Transfers and redemption states still come straight from the registrar, untouched.

• The domains page now lets you fold up the Active, Expired, Transferred, and Redemption groups. Click the chevron next to a section header to hide its rows. The count stays visible so you still know what's there.

• Dates were off by a day. A domain expiring May 24 could read May 23 depending on your timezone. Fixed everywhere: lists, dashboard, forecast chart, and calendar export.
• Syncs tell you the truth now. If a registrar rejects your credentials, rate limits us, or a domain fails to save, you see the actual reason instead of a vague "Sync failed". The connection card carries the error too.
• Renewals get picked up automatically. Every connected registrar is re-checked once a day, so a renewal you made at GoDaddy shows up here without you clicking anything.
• Every change is on the record. When a sync moves an expiration date or flips a status, the domain's activity log records what it was and what it became.
• Sync tells you what changed. The success message now calls out how many renewal dates moved.

• Guided walkthroughs. The first time you land on the dashboard, domains, toolbox, activity, notifications, or settings, a two or three step tour points out what matters. Skip it and it stays gone.
• Replay any time. Every page header has a small help button that runs that page's tour again.
• Remembered on your account. Finish or skip a tour on your laptop and your phone knows about it too.
• Start over whenever. Settings > Profile has a Reset tours button if you want the walkthroughs back.

• Sitemap and crawler rules now point at the live site. Google was being handed links to a domain that is not serving yet, so pages could get skipped. Fixed.

• Every page now describes itself properly. Dashboard, domains, toolbox, settings, and the sign-in page each carry their own title and description instead of borrowing the homepage's. Shared links show the right page name.
• Sign-in page got a real heading, and the changelog headings now nest correctly.

• Public pages now match the brand standard documented on /brand. Headings and buttons read in sentence case ("Start for free", "Sign in", "How it works"). The 404 page sounds like The Deputy ("Off the trail"). Onboarding greets you with "Welcome to the outpost". Same pages, leaner copy, consistent voice.

• The /brand page now documents The Deputy. Our persona, three voice pillars, an approved and forbidden vocabulary list, a situational copy matrix, and execution rules for case and punctuation. It's the standard we write to, on the page for anyone to read.

• The copy across the site got a rewrite. Shorter sentences. Plainer words. Fewer marketing tics. The Brand page now has a Voice section with the actual rules we write to, so it stays this way.

• The footer link menu no longer wraps into awkward partial rows on small screens. Links now sit in a clean two-column grid on narrow viewports and flow into a single horizontal row on larger screens. The same footer now appears on every public page, so you can always get to Privacy, Terms, Brand, or Updates no matter where you land.

• Em dashes have been removed from copy across the site. Page titles, hero subheads, feature descriptions, FAQ answers, toast messages, form helper text, and share titles now use commas, periods, or colons instead. Sentences were rewritten where punctuation alone didn't carry the cadence. The single-character placeholder for empty values (a typographic dash, not punctuation) is unchanged.

• There's now a /brand page documenting the dotcom.rodeo identity end-to-end: mission, values, the "Domain Wrangler" persona and voice, logo rules, the full color palette with light/dark mode roles, Rye + Lora typography specs, favicon, social templates, and HTML-email implementation. Linked from the site footer and listed in sitemap.xml and llms.txt so partners, contributors, and AI crawlers all see the same brand rules.

• The Domain Detail page now updates in real time. When a scan finishes — or anyone on your team edits the domain — the WHOIS, SSL, IP, security, DNS, subdomain, and activity sections refresh in place. No need to reload the page to see the new expiration date.
• Switching browser tabs no longer wipes what you were doing. Open dialogs stay open, half-typed text fields keep their text, and the page no longer "refreshes" itself when you come back from another tab.

• Less common TLDs like .today, .team, .shop, .blog now refresh expiration dates correctly on Scan. We swapped our short hard-coded list for the official IANA registry, so any TLD with a public RDAP server is supported automatically.

• A domain scan refreshes the expiration and registration dates from public WHOIS records. Renewed your domain at the registrar but dotcom.rodeo still says "expired"? Hit Scan and the date will catch up — no registrar connection required. If WHOIS doesn't return a date for some reason, your existing date is left alone.

• Inline error messages now appear directly under any required field you missed on Add Domain. Look for the red alert icon and message right below the input — no more guessing what the highlighted box wants from you.

• Required fields light up when you forget one. Try to save a domain without a name or expiration date and the offending field now glows with a thick red border, a tinted background, and a one-line hint right underneath telling you exactly what's needed. The page also scrolls and focuses the first problem field for you.
• Error messages now actually look like errors. The little notification at the bottom-right has a bold red border, red-tinted background, and larger text — no more blending into the page like it's just another label.

• Removed the "Run dry-run test" button. The daily 14:00 UTC schedule is the only thing that sends expiry emails now — no manual trigger, no extra button on the page.

• The branded look matches your sign-in emails. Expiry alerts now use the same dark, golden-ochre Western-tech style as the magic-link and other auth emails — same header, same Rye display font, same beveled gold "View Domain" button. No more out-of-place white email in your inbox.

• You'll now actually get the emails. The Notification Preferences page used to be UI-only — settings reset on reload and nothing was sending. That pipeline is now built end-to-end: thresholds are saved per organization, a daily job runs at 14:00 UTC, and emails go to every member of the org via Resend from team@mail.dotcom.rodeo.
• No duplicates. Each (domain, threshold, expiration date) combo is emailed exactly once, even if the job runs multiple times.
• Defaults applied automatically. Every existing organization now has 7-, 30-, and 60-day thresholds enabled, and any new org you create will get the same defaults.
• Per-organization, not per-user. Thresholds are shared across the whole org. Any member can view them; only owners and admins can change them.
• Test it without waiting. A new "Run dry-run test" button on the Notifications page tells you exactly which domains would be alerted today without actually sending mail.

A note on version numbers

You'll notice this is a jump from v0.13.x to v0.14.0 — going forward, new features get a MINOR bump and small fixes/copy tweaks get a PATCH bump. The earlier v0.13.13–v0.13.17 footer fixes should have been patches off v0.13.0, but the onboarding work back at v0.13.0 was the real feature release. Future releases will be more disciplined about this.

• The period after "Brand Forge" is no longer part of the link. It still stays glued to the logo so it never wraps onto its own line.

• Fixed a wrapping glitch where the footer could break with a line starting with just a period. The period now stays glued to "Brand Forge".

• Reduced spacing between "by" and the Brand Forge logo in the footer copyright line for a tighter look.

• Tightened the period after Brand Forge in the copyright line so it sits flush, no stray space.
• Added a touch more breathing room between "by" and the Brand Forge logo in the copyright line.

• The footer copyright now reads "© dotcom.rodeo by Brand Forge. All rights reserved." with the Brand Forge logo and link inline.
• Tightened spacing between "Site designed by" and the Brand Forge logo on the right-hand credit.

• The footer's copyright line has been split in two. The copyright (© dotcom.rodeo. All rights reserved.) now sits on the left and the Site designed by Brand Forge credit sits on the right, with the Brand Forge logo inline. On mobile both lines stack and stay centered.

• The Add domains step now validates as you type. Type or paste a domain — even a full URL like https://www.example.com/path?x=1 — and we'll automatically strip the https://, the www., the path, and any uppercase or spaces. Per-row errors call out things like missing a TLD or invalid characters before you can continue.
• Add up to five domains right inside onboarding. No more bouncing to a separate page just to enter a couple of names. Hit Add and finish and you're on the Dashboard with your domains already tracked.
• A new "Finish setting up" checklist on the Dashboard tracks what's left: adding your first domain, inviting a teammate, and (on the Land Baron plan) connecting a registrar. Each row has a one-click link to the right page, plus a progress bar. The card auto-hides once everything is checked off, and you can dismiss it at any time.

• The setup wizard is now three steps instead of four. After creating your organization, you'll invite teammates and then jump straight to adding your domains. The standalone "Connect a registrar" step has been removed — you can still connect Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy and others any time from Settings → Connections.
• Clearer guidance on the domains step. A note reminds you that connecting a registrar later will sync your domains automatically, so you don't have to add them by hand if you don't want to.

• Onboarding now walks you through everything you need to start tracking domains. After creating your organization, you're guided through three optional steps: invite teammates, connect a registrar, and import existing domains. Every step can be skipped — you can jump straight to the Dashboard at any time using Skip setup in the header.
• Invite up to five teammates at once during onboarding. Invitations go out by email and new members start as member (you can promote them later from Settings → Members).
• Members is now in the sidebar. A new Members nav item takes you straight to the invitations and role management screen — no more digging through Settings tabs.

• The full-screen mobile menu now fades in instead of expanding from a circle in the middle of the screen. The result is faster, quieter, and closer to a native iOS sheet.
• Menu items appear with a tighter stagger so the whole panel is ready in under half a second.
• If you have Reduce Motion turned on at the OS level, the menu now opens and closes instantly with no animation.

• The "What's new" notice on the Dashboard no longer marks itself as handled before it appears, which fixes cases where desktop users never saw the toast at all.
• We now only persist dismissal after you explicitly close it, mark it as read, or open the Updates page.

• The release notification on the Dashboard no longer relies on Sonner’s desktop toast template, so it can’t collapse back into the old side-by-side layout.
• It now uses a dedicated floating card with an explicit × close button, full-width vertically stacked actions, and 44 px touch targets on both mobile and desktop.

• Updates, Privacy, Terms, How it works, and Meta now share a single sticky header — Home on the left, the dotcom.rodeo wordmark in the middle, and the section name on the right. Wherever you are on a public page, the back-to-home button is in exactly the same place.
• Tabbing through any public page now shows a clear focus ring on every link and button, and a Skip to content link appears the first time you press Tab so keyboard users can jump straight past the header.

• The Dashboard toast that announces a fresh release has been redesigned: the title and message now have room to breathe on their own rows instead of being squeezed against the left edge by the buttons.
• Added a clear × close button in the top-right corner, and the See what's new / Mark as read actions now sit on their own row underneath — full-width on mobile, right-aligned on desktop, with comfortable 44 px touch targets.

• Updates, Privacy, and Terms now share the same sticky top bar with a Home button on the left and a section label on the right. The Back to Home button no longer jumps around between pages — it's always in the same place at the top, even after you scroll.

• The What's new card now sits at the very bottom of the Dashboard, under Recently Updated, so your portfolio (expiring domains, charts, renewals, recent activity) leads. Release notes are still one click away — just scroll to the end.

• The Share button next to each release on the public Updates page now opens your phone's native share sheet on mobile, so you can fire a release straight into iMessage, WhatsApp, Mail, AirDrop, X, Slack — wherever — without a manual copy + paste.
• On desktop (or anywhere the browser doesn't expose a share sheet) the button still does the right thing: it copies the deep link to your clipboard with the same Copied confirmation as before. The icon and label switch from Share to Copy link so you always know what's about to happen.

A brand-new card for the home page

• Pasting dotcom.rodeo into Slack, X, LinkedIn, iMessage, Discord, or any other link-preview platform now renders a branded card with the cowboy-hat logo and western-serif wordmark straight from the home-page header — matching the actual brand identity instead of a generic text card.

• Each release on the public Updates page now has a Copy link button right next to its version pill. One click puts the deep link (e.g. dotcom.rodeo/updates#v0.11.0) on your clipboard so you can drop it into chat, social, or email — and the matching per-release Open Graph card travels with it.
• The button gives you a quick Copied confirmation, and every release is now a proper anchor target so the page jumps to the right card when someone follows the link.

A branded card for the home page

• Pasting dotcom.rodeo itself into Slack, X, LinkedIn, iMessage, Discord, or any other link-preview platform now shows a purpose-built "Wrangle your domains" card in the same western-tech style as the rest of the site — no more generic preview screenshot.

• /how-it-works, /privacy, /terms, and /meta now render branded Open Graph cards when shared on Slack, X, LinkedIn, iMessage, Discord, and other link-preview platforms — no more generic site default for these surfaces.
• Each release on /updates also gets its own social card. Deep links like /updates#v0.10.0 now share with a card that names the specific version and headline, so a tweet about a single release looks distinct from one about the changelog overall.
• Per-release cards are generated automatically from public/updates.md at build time, so every future release ships with a matching card the moment it lands.

Jump to the changelog from anywhere with g u

• The familiar g <key> navigation pattern now includes a new g u shortcut that opens What's new from anywhere in the app.
• It's listed in the keyboard shortcuts dialog (press ? to open) alongside the rest of the navigation jumps.

• A small version chip now sits right next to the dotcom.rodeo logo in the app header (e.g. v0.10.0). Click it any time to jump straight to the changelog.
• When there's a release you haven't read yet, the chip turns gold and shows a small pulsing dot — same signal as the sidebar badge, just always visible.

The changelog now shares beautifully

• Pasting dotcom.rodeo/updates into Slack, X, LinkedIn, iMessage, Discord, or any other platform that respects link previews now shows a branded "What's new" card instead of the generic site preview.
• A purpose-built Open Graph image, dedicated title and description, and proper Twitter card meta are all set automatically when the page loads — and reverted when you navigate away, so the rest of the site keeps its own previews.

• New RSS/Atom feed at /updates.xml. Drop the URL into Feedly, Inoreader, NetNewsWire, or any other reader to get every new release the moment it ships.
• The Updates page now advertises the feed automatically — RSS-aware browsers and extensions will pick it up the moment you visit, and there's a clear Subscribe via RSS link under the page intro for everyone else.
• The home page is now leaner: the duplicated "What's new" section has been removed. Visitors still find the changelog from the Updates link in the top nav, mobile menu, and footer, and signed-in users see the latest releases inline on the Dashboard.
• Behind the scenes, every release is now also exposed as structured data (Schema.org ItemList of TechArticles) so search engines and AI assistants can surface specific releases directly. The changelog is also indexed in our sitemap and llms.txt.

• A new "What's new" card now sits right on the Dashboard, showing the two most recent releases inline. Skim the highlights without ever leaving the page, or click See all → to jump to the full changelog.
• The card carries the same "New" pill as the sidebar so you can tell at a glance whether there's something fresh to read.

Mark everything as read in one click

• The Updates page now has a "Mark all as read" button right in the header. One click clears the sidebar badge — no need to scroll through every release.
• The What's new dashboard toast has a matching Mark as read option, so you can dismiss it without opening the page if you're in a rush.
• Once you're caught up, the button quietly switches to "All caught up" so you always know where you stand.

• A brand-new public changelog lives at /updates — anyone can browse the full version history, no account required.
• The Landing page now has a "What's new" section showing the 3 most recent releases, plus an Updates link in the top nav, mobile menu, and footer.
• The How It Works page surfaces the same recent releases so visitors can see active development at a glance.

• A small "New" badge now appears on the Updates entry in the sidebar whenever there's a release you haven't read yet. It clears the moment you open the page.
• The first time you land on the Dashboard after a release ships, a quick "What's new in vX.Y.Z" toast pops in with a See what's new button that takes you straight to the changelog. It fires once per release, per browser — so it won't nag you.
• Both signals stay in sync across tabs: open Updates in one tab and the badge disappears everywhere.

• Per-domain Activity Log now shows the avatar and name of the teammate who triggered each entry, matching the org-wide Activity page.
• Going forward, your manual edits are attributed to your account so the rest of the team can see who changed what.

Filter activity by teammate

• A new Member filter on the Activity page lets you scope the timeline to a single teammate (or to the "Unknown / system" bucket for automated jobs).
• The selection is part of the URL, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view, and the active member is even baked into the CSV export filename.

Copy a link to any view

• A Copy link button now sits next to Export CSV on the Activity page. One click puts the full URL — with every filter, date range, and search applied — onto your clipboard so you can drop it into Slack, email, or a doc.

• See who did what. Every entry on the Activity page now shows the avatar and name of the teammate who triggered the change.
• Shareable views. Filters, date ranges, and search are now part of the URL — bookmark a view or share it with a teammate and they'll land on the exact same timeline.
• Built for big portfolios. The activity log now paginates on the server, so it scales smoothly even with tens of thousands of events. CSV exports include the full filtered set (not just the first page) and now include a User column.

• A new Updates entry is in the sidebar — that's where you'll find this page. We'll keep it current whenever something changes that's worth knowing about.
• Every release on this page now carries a version number and date so you can tell at a glance when a change shipped.
